Things to do around Mevagissey :

There is a Museum and Aquarium on the harbour, just a short stroll away. Mevagissey also has its own Lighthouse.

Pentewan Beach is the nearest large sandy beach situated a little north of Mevagissey.

Polstreath Beach is also known as Mevagissey beach. It is located just north of Mevagissey and is accessed via the coastal path and steep steps down to the cove.

When the tide is out 2 small and safe beaches are exposed on the harbour and these are enjoyed by families

Walks

There are some wonderful walks in and around Mevagissey, especially if you take the coastal path. These are for all abilities.
You can head south to Gorran Haven, a small fishing village just two miles from Mevagissey. This takes you through Portmellon. Alternatively, you can head north, towards Pentewen, another small village with a sandy beach.

Charlestown (7 miles away)

Step back in time in this late Georgian working port with a pebbly beach. Charlestown is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Poldark fans will recognise this harbour.
