Tucked away in a little backstreet, in the fishing harbour of Mevagissey is where you’ll find charming Corner Cottage.
Mevagissey is the perfect location for families, couples and walkers. Our cottage is in a quiet lane a short stroll away from the harbour.
Stay in Mevagissey and you’ll be perfectly placed to explore all that the south coast of Cornwall has to offer. You can access the South West Coastal path easily from our front door. Take a ferry trip to Fowey, visit the Award Winning Lost Gardens of Heligan or spend a day at the beach at nearby Pentewan Sands.
Best known for its harbour and fishing boats, Mevagissey still boasts being part of Cornwall’s thriving fishing industry. Fresh fish can still be bought from the harbour each day. Wander around the harbour area, with its narrow streets, fascinating shops and galleries and recall its smuggling history, or just relax in the bars and restaurants and coves and on nearby beaches.
If you are lucky enough to be here during Mevagissey Feast Week in June, do take full advantage of the activities being held. Said to be the oldest festival in Cornwall, it attracts exhibitions, live music, parades, a fete and wonderful firework display.
There is a ferry boat which runs from end of April to beginning of October from Mevagissey to Fowey a few times a day, journey time is about 35 minutes. The dolphins often say hello !
