Mevagissey is the perfect location for families, couples, walkers and for fishing trips. Our cottage is in the centre of the village and a short stroll from the harbour.
You will be perfectly placed to explore all that the south coast of Cornwall has to offer. You can access the South West Coastal path easily from our front door. Take a ferry trip to Fowey, visit the Award Winning Lost Gardens of Heligan or spend a day at the beach at nearby Pentewan Sands or Gorran Haven.

Best known for its harbour and fishing boats, Mevagissey still boasts being part of Cornwall’s thriving fishing industry. Fresh fish can still be bought from the harbour daily. There are fishing and boat trips well as kayaking and other water sports available around the harbour. Explore the narrow quaint streets, fascinating shops and galleries or just relax in the bars and restaurants, coves and nearby beaches.

If you are lucky to be visiting during Mevagissey Feast Week in June, do take full advantage of the events. Said to be the oldest festival in Cornwall, it attracts exhibitions, live music, parades and a wonderful firework display.

The ferry boat runs from April to October from Mevagissey to Fowey a few times a day, journey time is about 35 minutes. The dolphins often say hello !
